01
The Armor
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11
Father, I am not dressing for a quiet day. Put the belt of truth on me where I am prone to shade things. Put the breastplate over the part of me that keeps taking hits. Cover my head, guard my footing, and put the shield in my hand before the first arrow comes. I am not walking out there in my own clothes. Amen.
-
02
When Fear Comes
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.”
Isaiah 41:10
Lord, the fear got here before I did. It has already told me how this ends. I am not going to argue with it — I am going to hand it to You. You are here. You have been here the whole time. Steady my hands and quiet the noise long enough for me to hear You. Amen.
-
03
The Mind
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God.”
2 Corinthians 10:5
God, my mind has been a battlefield and I have been losing ground quietly. Show me the thought that started it. Give me the nerve to name it, hold it up against what You have said, and drop it. Rebuild the way I think. Amen.
-
04
Over My Household
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15
Father, I stand in the doorway of this home and I claim it for You. Every room, every conversation, every hard night. Guard the ones under this roof from what they cannot see. Make me the kind of man they can build on. Amen.
-
05
When I Am Tempted
“God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
Lord, I know the road this one goes down. I have driven it. You said there is a way out — show me where it is, right now, while I still want it. Give me the will to take it and someone to tell. Amen.
-
06
When I Am Worn Out
“They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.”
Isaiah 40:31
Father, I am running on nothing and still pretending otherwise. I am done pretending. Carry what I cannot. Give me sleep, and then give me strength I did not manufacture. Amen.
-
07
Forgiveness
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
God, I am not going to soften it. I did it, and I know it. You said You would forgive and clean it out. I am taking You at Your word, and I am not picking it back up on the way out the door. Amen.
-
08
For Someone Who Will Not Listen
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.”
Ezekiel 36:26
Lord, I have said everything I know how to say and it landed nowhere. So I stop pushing and start praying. Soften what has gone hard. Send someone they will actually hear. I will keep the door open and leave the rest to You. Amen.
-
09
Standing Firm
“Take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
Ephesians 6:13
Father, I am not asking for an easy day. I am asking to still be standing at the end of this one. Set my feet. Hold the gate with me. When it is over, let it be said that I did not move. Amen.
-
10
Gratitude in the Middle of It
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
God, nothing is fixed yet and I am thanking You anyway. For breath. For the people who stayed. For the trouble that drove me back to You. I will not wait for the outcome to be grateful. Amen.
-
11
When I Doubt
“Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”
Mark 9:24
God, I am not going to pretend today. Part of me believes You and part of me is standing back with its arms folded, waiting to be proved wrong. I am bringing both parts, because I have nowhere better to take them. Meet the faith I have, and do something about the unbelief I cannot talk myself out of. Amen.
-
12
Guard My Mouth
“Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”
Psalm 141:3
Lord, most of the damage I do comes out of my own mouth, and it comes out fast. Put a guard at the door before the words get that far. Make me slow where I have been quick, quiet where I was right but unkind, and straight where I have been smooth. Let the last thing I said today be something I would say again. Amen.
How to use these
Pick one. Read the verse out loud — out loud matters more than you would think. Then pray the prayer, and keep going in your own words once it runs out. That is the whole point: the card gets you started on the days you cannot start yourself.
To print them: press Ctrl+P (or Cmd+P on a Mac). The page prints as plain cut-out cards on white paper — no dark background, no navigation, no wasted ink. Cut on the dashed lines. Put one in a wallet, one on a mirror, one in a lunchbox.
Scripture quoted from the King James Version, which is public domain — so you may copy, print, and give these away freely. No permission needed, no credit required.
Carrying somebody else’s weight?
If the thing you are praying about is too heavy to hold alone, put it on the Prayer Wall. One man reads every one that comes in and prays over it before it ever goes up.
