The Hour That Changes the World… meditation
I am finishing up my reading of the book ‘The Hour That Changes the World‘ by Dick Eastman. It’s been an interesting read thus far, but one section really hit home with me today and I thought I’d share it. In chapter 11, “Meditation”, it ends with the following statements by Eastman. “Any thought that meets the measure of Philippians 4:8 may serve as a focus for meditation. Teaching received in a Sunday...
Posterous… blogging from your email!
I’ve been desperately wanting to use email (OS X Mail particularly) to create blog posts. Well, Posterous has come to the rescue! This is seriously amazing. All you need to do is send an email with images or music or any number of other things like links to a youtube video and Posterous automatically turns it into a killer, perfectly formatted blog post. Now the real kicker, at least for me, is that I can email Posterous and have it create...
Windows XP not shutting down in VMWare Fusion
I came across this article today while looking for a solution to the fact that I could not shut down Windows XP in VMWare Fusion on my Mac. Windows XP was logging in but than just showing the background image and never loading up anything else. I tried sending ctrl+alt+del multiple times and doing a shutdown or restart guest from VMWare to no avail. Problem: The [Shut Down Guest] option from the virtual machine menu would NOT work. It stated...
Speed up login time for Windows Vista, XP and OS X
To decrease the amount of time it takes to login to Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X Leopard try the following house cleaning tip. It will make a bigger difference the more (in size) that you have on your desktop. For XP or Vista make a folder on the main local drive (usually C:). For OS X the concept is exactly the same. Put a shortcut of this folder on your desktop. Put all of the files or folders (no need to move shortcuts) on the desktop into...

I just want to start by saying THANK YOU to Gary Rosenzweig for solving this annoying mystery for me. His video tutorial on macmost.com answers this question perfectly. Also, I still want to sync photos from a folder which is an option in iTunes. Answer: Open [Image Capture]. Go...

If you have a Dell Optiplex 755 and need to boot to a Windows XP CD (that you know is working) but you keep getting the blue screen of death and you are about to go INSANE with rage, hold on because the answer can be found here. Just in case that link is unavailable in the future here is the answer that worked for me: In the BIOS set the SATA Operation to “RAID Autodetect / ATA” instead of “RAID Autodetect / AHCI” Now I can...
